Anton Aesthetics Academy works like a spa. It has an active advertising program that aims to generate appointments with clients. A steady flow of client appointments is necessary for the completion of hands-on services together with the completion of classes.
DESCRIPTION

Objective
To prepare students to to become Nail Technicians, eligible to register with the Board of Cosmetology.
The program leads to a diploma by the school and qualifies graduates to apply for registration as a Nail Technician in the State of Florida.

Student are instructed in nail art, artificial nails (nail tips, sculptured nails and nail wrapping), sanitation, manicuring, pedicuring as well as ethics, solon management and employer/employee/ client relations.

The requirements for entering are listed in Admission Requirements under Policy. There are no additional requirements or prerequisites for this program.

This is a flexible program. Students provide the hours they will attend, in advance. Hours can be increased or decreased with advanced notice to the school. The program can be completed in 6 weeks with full, 40 hour per week participation.


This program is based on hours completed. For the purposes of this program one hour is fifty minutes.

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS

THERE IS NO STATE EXAM REQUIRED

A Diploma will be awarded by Anton Aesthetics Academy, Inc. upon completion of the Facial Specialist Program when the following are completed:

1. 240 hours total including class instruction and practice with a passing grade.

2. Complete all practicals and clinicals as described under the Nail Technician program description.

3. Pass the final examination, given by the school, with a minimum passing grade of 75%

4. All tuition fees are paid in full.

5. Meet all other school rules and regulations.

After completion of the required 240 hours, students can aply for registration as a Nail Technician in Florida. Fees for registration are established by the State of Florida.
ACADEMIC EVALUATION
Academic work is evaluated and grades are assigned at the end of each course above in order to determine student's level of performance. A score of 75% or higher is passing grade. Students with poor or failing scores can take the test once more. The grade for the course will be the highest of the two. A student must earn a 75% or better on the average of all courses to take the final.
CLINICAL AND PRACTICAL TRAINING

At a minimum, all students are required to complete the following sevices prior to graduation:
20 manicures, 10 pedicures, 15 tips with overlays, 15 sculpting with a form, 10 nail wraps and/or mendings, 10 nail capings, 5 artificial nail removals and 10 polishings and or nail art.

TRANSFERABILITY
Upon request Anton Aesthetics Academy will provide transcripts for transferring out of our school. There is no guaranty that the chosen institution to transfer may credit them in whole or in part towards their own program.

Anton Aesthetics Academy, Inc. offers an extended payment plan.
Student must pay fees established by the State of Florida, to the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, for registration as a Nail Technician. At present fees are $85.00.
SUPPLIES AND EQUIPMENT
Anton Aesthetics Academy will supply all students with the necessary tools, equipment, materials, and products needed for this program. Scrubs are provided by the school and are included in the program cost above.
CURRICULUM
NT 001 Orientation and Ethics. This course will cover salon conduct, professional ethics, and appearance as a nail technician.
NT 002 HIV/AIDS. Education on the transmission, control, treatment and prevention of HIV and AIDS; discussion of attitudes and behavior in dealing with persons who may have the virus or syndrome; explanation of board requirements regarding license renewal and completion of the board-approved educational course on HIV and AIDS.
NT 003

Sanitation. Difference between sterilization, sanitation & disinfection, different methods of disinfection, and types of equipment used for disinfection.

NT 004

Florida Law. All Rules as set forth by the Florida department of professional regulation, chapter 477, cosmetologist licensures and operations.

NT 005

Nail theory/practice related subjects including nail disorders/disease.
Basic areas of nail technology:
Manicuring – equipment, cosmetics and materials, procedures and safety, massage techniques.
Pedicuring – equipment, materials, procedures and safety, massage techniques.
Nail extension/tips/wraps/gels/acrylics/sculptures – equipment, materials, designs, procedures and safety.
The physical and anatomic structure of the nail, nail shaping and how to identify nail growth, diseases and disorders.

NT 006

Manicures. Equipment, implements, materials, and cosmetics needed for a manicure.  The basic table set-up. The four basic nail shapes.  The steps in the procedure for water manicure. The steps in the post-service procedure for water manicure.  The five types of polish application.  Procedures for reconditioning hot oil manicure. The steps in a man’s manicure.  The ability to perform hand and arm massage.

NT 007

Pedicures. Identify the equipment and materials needed for a pedicure.  The steps in the pedicure pre-service procedure.  The proper technique to use in filing toenails.  The ability to perform foot massage properly.

NT 008

Tips with Overlays. Supplies are needed for nail tips and the usage.  Types of tips.  Applying nail tips.  Maintenance to tips.  Removal of tips.

NT 009

Sculpting using a form. Application of acrylic products using a form featuring pink and white technique.

NT 010

Nail wraps/mending. Kind of nail wraps.  The benefits of using silk, linen, fiberglass, and paper wraps.  The procedures and precautions to use in fabric wrap application.  Maintenance of fabric wrap.  Crack repair.  Procedure for removal. Paper wrap application.

NT 011

Nail capping. Proper techniques for applications.

NT 012

Artificial nail removal. Procedures for safely removing artificial nails.

NT 013

Polishing/nail art. Nail art application and how to gain the creative touch.
